Expansion – is that a familiar word lately when it comes to business in America? Well it is here. Our client is in the process of integrating the supply chains of several independently-operating divisions. As a result, current and future opportunities within the supply chain are abound!

In this case, we are looking for the right person to build a Sales Forecasting department from scratch. This includes developing and implementing the process and technology in order to take sales forecasting to a best-in-class level. If you have a strong Demand Planning / Forecasting / Consumer Insights background, enjoy working closely with sales / account management teams to come up with a monthly forecast, and get excited about companies that still pride themselves on their products having the stamp of Made in America then we’d love to hear from you ASAP.

Client Summary:
• 100+ year-old Consumer Non-Durables manufacturer;
• Multi-billion dollar organization that recognizes the value supply chain contributes to the bottom line;

Position Description:
• Reporting to the Director of Trade Marketing, build the sales forecasting process from scratch;
• Develop and maintain an 12-month rolling forecast at the corporate level and drive the entire forecast process for a $350 million business unit;
• Communicate daily with field sales to fully understand how the market is changing, promotions being planned and seasonal items that will be introduced;
• Work closely with trade marketing and field sales to understand customer demand;
• Implement and lead the net-sales forecast to identify where the company will finish on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis;
• Develop models to forecast new products, promotional items and seasonal items;
• Advise sales, marketing and finance of variances between existing forecasts, plans and actuals.

Background Required:
• Highly energetic individuals with 3-5 years forecasting / demand planning / consumer insights experience;
• Experience with high-volume Retail / CPG supply chains;
• Effective use of forecasting applications like SAP (APO DP), Oracle, Manugistics, i2, Logility, etc.; ERP applications like SAP, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.; and all Microsoft applications including Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint;
• Bachelor’s Degree;
• Proven track record of success in similar role.

Compensation Plan:

• $80 - 100K + 15% bonus
• Full benefits package including medical, dental, disability and 401(k).
